Annoyance quelled by Mcqueen heelage

I'm in bit of a grumpy mood because I was just trying to take some pics when my tripod fell over and the lens broke...urrrgh! Anyway I hope I can get another one soon because the only other lens I have is too big.

Aside from that I'm visiting the soon to be in-laws today and here are the photos of what I am wearing that I managed to salvage before the lens died a tragic death.

The outfit is pretty boring; Dotti skirt, Country Road jacket, Bally dress which I tucked into the skirt to wear as a top, Gucci sunnies. But I did get to finally wear my Alexander Mcqueen heels that have been sitting in my wardrobe for much much too long.

Here's a few extra pics of them

I absolutely love all the carving in the heel.

Thankyou Mr Postman

I got my bag in the mail today! It is more of a mustard colour than the yellow colour online which I am really happy with.

Does anyone else love lots of pockets in bags too?

Its Friday Night and the Feeling's Right

Vogue meet last night! was lots of fun and took a few quick snaps before I headed off, unfortunately I looked really grumpy in most of the pics so had to chop my head off in most of the snaps.

I wore Scanlan and Theodore Dress, Country Road jacket and YSL Arty ring

Pretty Shiney things!

Ok I am a HUGE Scanlan and Theodore fan, it comprises about half of my wardrobe, mostly because I like the way they play with different shapes.

Anyway I am really liking the below looks, so I am thinking of doing a sneaky trip there after work.

I am really loving the look in the middle on the top row and I have some kirkwoods that look nearly exactly like the shoes....so so tempting!

Non-fashion related big life stuff

Okay so I meant to do heaps of outfit posts and and be all bloggy and stuff this week, but it all turned a little crazy when my boyfriend proposed! Being the crazy neurotic person I am he told me to think about it (very understanding on his part) and after some small freak outs and general odd Shannon behaviour I said yes!

So there you have it I'm engaged.

Oh yellow clutch, how I love thee.

After much persistance I am finally getting my yellow oversized clutch (horaah!). This morning I bought this BCBG Max Azaria Clutch from outnet which was down from 174 to 69 pounds, but then thanks to a lovely vougette got a discount code which bought it down to 53 pounds.

Unfortunately you can't really see how big it is in the pic but its 18cm by 33cm, so I am really happy with it.
Now all I have to do is wait by the post box all day every day until it arrives.

Spoilt!

My boyfriend pulled a number on me yesterday and came up with a sneaky scheme to surprise me with a present. He started complaining that his wallet was annoying him, so I suggested we go to Bulgari because we saw some nice wallets there recently. Turned out it was all a rouse and he wanted to go there to buy me one that I had been ogling!

So I am a very happy camper with my new pressie

On a side note the customer service was so good, better than most of the high end designers I have  been to in Sydney and we spent much less!

Skins Fashion

I loved the fashion of Skins, in season 1 and 2 I would constantly clothes perve and Cassi and seasons 3 and 4 were like a smorgasboard with Effy, Naomi, Emily and Katie (in the 4th not the 3rd series for her).

Anywho with my love of the clothes and my propensity to avoid work on Fridays I did a little collage of Skins outfits I like.

Do you guys have a certain character's wardrobe you really liked?

Hair Attempt #1

I went to Oscar and Oscar last night (who I have never been to before but heard they were good with Balayage) and they were great. the hairdresser told me I would need to come again in 6 weeks to get back to blonde but still really happy with the result at the moment.

Here are some pics of the new hair, sorry they are a bit dodgy I took them really quickly before work, the contrast is actually heaps more prominent than it looks like in the photos.

The only problem is that because I am blonde naturally I get really light regrowth and my hair grows super fast so I have to try sit that out with crazy regrowth for 6 weeks, but I am committing to the balayage cause!

Eventually I want to get to something like this.

I also bought some of those Cloud 9 O rollers, has anyone used these? I havent tried mine yet but curls fall out of my hair really quick so I am hoping they help, I'm still not sure I really understand whats supposed to be so good about them though.

Time for a hair makeover

My hair is ash blonde naturally and I have had it dark for about a year now, but with the warmer months coming and my irritation growing with getting my hair done every 2 weeks (my hair grows really fast and it looks like I am greying), I have decided to lighten up!

I love Balayage and I really hope I am not being a total fashion victim (which happens pretty frequently) but I am going to give in to this trend.

So I have booked an appointment at Oscar and Oscar tomorrow and they tell me it will take a few visits to get it how I want it because my hair is so dark now, but I am REALLY excited!

Here are some pics of Balayage that I really love

Canberra Road Trip: Part 1

The man and I spontaneously decided to drive to Canberra this weekend and check out the national gallery, which was amazing but unfortunately photos were prohibited but we took a few messing around with the sculptures out the front.

Best way to end the day Champagne + Strawberries + book + bubble bath = bliss.

Have some equally ridiculous photos of the following day which will post soon.

Oh for the record wearing country road pants and belt, Hugo Boss scarf, Miss shop knit and nine west shoes.

Cashing in the Goot Cash

I had a bit of money put aside for a Josh Goot dress that I love love love, but upon reflection thought it might be a better idea to use that money on a few different outfits rather than 1 dress that I really couldnt wear much.

So this weekend I got this Karla Spetic Dress, which I think is nice and versatile as you can dress it down like on the runway but undo a few buttons and grab a pair of heels and wear it out.

I also got these RMK shoes to wear with it for $74.95 (Bargin!) which was handy. Unfortunately the sales person gave me 2 left feet and I lost the reciept but after much arguing and frustration I finally got the right foot and am a very happy camper.

Best thing is I still have heaps of goot cash left thats burning a hole in my pocket. Although below is the Goot dress (but the one I like has a brighter print, with hot pink etc ) ....I do reeeeeeally like it
