Seeing it had been so long since I posted because of the holidays I quickly took some snaps of what I wore on the plane when I got home (yes an outfit post right off the plane...so dedicated).
My usual trick is to wear as much clothing as possible so I don't go overweight with my luggage (which I did anyway). Oh and I got my hair done again before I went to Melbourne, it's not at copper as in the pics but its still in that awkward stage of going blonde again ... can someone please remind me how long this has taken next time I decide to dye my hair black?
Wearing Scanlan and Theodore sample dress (got in the sales hurrah), Sass and Bide leather jacket, Chanel Bag and oldest of the old jeans and wittner shoes, both of which I have worn to death.
P.S Going to catch up on everyone's blog tonight so I hope you all have been more vigilant posting than I have!
P.P.S I love Melbourne, had a great time.

The Year They Stole Christmas
I have seen a lot of wish lists floating around but for some bizzaro reason there is really nothing I want, so decided to post what I was buying people I love instead ( I love love love buying presents).
BUT...it appears I am surrounded by grinches with both friends, family and fiance all banning presents. So cruel. Luckily there are a few occasions where I am permitted to buy presents in the festive season so I have gone a little nuts on those people.
A friends Birthday today and I am giving her an ysl arty ring, I actually meant to order her the torquiose one but stuffed it up and the checkout so coral it is. Jess if you are reading this act surprised!
I also have my Mum's Birthday and I have been itching to buy her this book forever. My family is very creative and painting is a great passion of my Mum's and we are lucky enough to have an amazing artirst Lord Frederic Leighton (my middle name is also leighton, but it's meant to be my last name...long story) in our lineage. Anyway we saw some of his paintings and sculptures at the Art Gallery of NSW when Mum was in Sydney last and we were both blown away by his talent.

Seeing that isn't very girly I also bought her an Elizabeth Arden Makeup Set. We lost Dad this year after a battle with cancer and both Mum and Dad were so brave and inspirational. Now she works so hard keeping the family business afloat and forgets to take time out for herself to this is a gentle reminder.
Also its my man's and I annivesary on New Years and even though he is anti me giving him presents and said "if you buy me anthing I will take it to the salvos" I am still planning a sneaky little naughty thing.
Lastly I have 2 KK's to buy for a work one and a family one with Mum's extended family who I am not actually hugely close with as we lived on other sides of the country so I have no idea for either KK. Everyong does wine and chocolates, do I play it safe or try find something fun?

Workin' Nine to Five
I haven't done much this week and I went super casual to work today so took a few snaps when I got home.
Wearing pyjama top (yes thats right I wore Pjs to work, I can die happy), Cue skirt, Dior Sunnies and Givenchy Bag.
I don't think I have really posted my Nightingale properly before, I love it and use is nearly every day because I can fit so much junk in it. I was really lucky and by a fluke managed to nab the limited edition with stripes when I was over in Perth last at Cult status (do any perthies love that shop as much as me?)
Made a stop on the way home to get a canvas or 2, some new brushes and some turps. I used to paint pretty regularly and nearly all of my family are artists or varying degrees. I am really amateurish but it's a nice creative outlet and I'm looking forward to getting back into it.Friday, December 10, 2010
Maxi Dress
Here is the Cohen et Sabine maxi dress, its finally sunny today so I have an excuse to wear it!
Cohen et Sabine dress, Ray Ban sunnies
Peaches and Cream
This is another one of those dresses I have had in my wardrobe for ages and never worn. Tonight the man and I were going out for dinner so decided to bust it out. I wish I took a photo with my hair back because the tailoring is really cool, it has a collar that's only on one side of the dress. C'est la vie.
Dress up Dress, Ysl arty ring
P.S bough the Cohen et Sabine dress because I have no control.
P.P.S For those people who were querying about my jewelry storage I actually saw them in "my house" stores for $299.

Casual Friday
It's casual Friday so this is what I'm wearing.. It seems someone forgot to let Sydney know it's summer because the weather is hideous today. It was so windy and rainy most of my pics were unusable so could only really grab this pic before I retreated inside.
Went for a browse around the shops last night and totally fell in love with this Cohen et Sabine Maxi Dress (unfortunately I could only find a picture of the back), but they only had a 10 which was a liiiiiittle too revealing up top, so I am on the hunt now so find a size 8 in sydney.
Supre top (whats with all the supre lately?), the belt and jeans are so old I cant event remember where I bought them and ninewest shoes.

Colour Blocking
I bought this dress about 6 months ago I think when I was over in Perth last and today is the first day I have ever worn it. It's actually backless but I forgot to take a pic of the back!
Totally in love with my Limitied Edition Dior Mitza's, they make me feel like a cross between a robot and a 1950's secretary.
Dress by Story By Tang, Dior Sunnies
An Unmade Bed(head)
I was literally just cleaning the house and getting bored out of my brain so decided to jump on my half made (ok completely unmade) bed and take some snaps of my dress and my as always messy bed hair because it matched.
Apologies if they are a bit too come hither, had to make love to the camera and all that.
The dress is Fleur Wood and I bought it I think about five or so years ago to wear to my first ever fashion show, luckily black lace never seems to go out of style so it always makes an appearance or 10 each year.

Serious Brownie Points
Sorry Ladies, I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I have the best fiance on earth. The search is over, I found him and I am going to make him put up with my neuroticism forever!
I have had a tough year and my fiance sometimes feels the need to shower me with gifts because he can't help other ways. On Saturday I wanted to have a quick look in the city to try on the Chloe Paraty Bag to see if the tote handles were large enough to fit over my shoulder. Anyway we started wandering and went to Chanel to see if I could find another neutral bag I preferred. We started trying on clothes and found an amazing dress from Cruise 2011 and while I was playing around with other things he actually bought it for me!! Such a surprise I would never ever have thought I would own a Chanel dress. If that wasn't enough because the dress is so girly and such a departure from my personal style he then felt the need to buy me some matching accessories.
I have been admiring the Isabella Rossellini bag by Bulgari for ages, it is just so classic. I'm such a trend sucker and to own something so classically beautiful that won't date is really amazing, then to top it off we needed some I'm going to the beach in Monaco Sunglasses.
So here are my new babies.
The inside lining it so cute, little snails with Isabella Rossellini's signature
Summer girly sunnies that make me feel like I'm in Roman Holiday
The Pie'ce de résistance my beautiful beautiful Chanel dress, my wardrobe is totally rocking the garment bag.
The details of the dress are just amazing, so so intricate.
Outfit posts to come soon!
P.S I did actually find another bag in Chanel that I am totally secretly saving up for
