Work clothes

Here are some quick outfit shots this morning before work. One of the good things about working in the beauty industry is that you don't have dress too corporate, so all my suits from careers past sit in the back of the wardrobe collecting dust. Which means NO IRONING!

Anywho both the dress and shoes are Calvin Klien.

My arms dangle really strangely in these photos, I think I need to try a bit of a hand on the hip move or something.

The shoes, the photos aren't very good but they are distressed leather with these cute little zips on the back, nothing fancy but so comfy I wear them relentlessly.

Still rambing about faux fur coats....

So alot of my obsession with finding the warmest of faux fur coats is  because I am orginally from Western Australia and have only been in Sydney for a year. I love sydney but anything under 19 degrees celcius and I feel like I am in the tundra and start to think calling in sick to work for the reason of hibernation is perfectly acceptable. Anyway so the hunt still continues for a Isabel Marantesque faux fur like the ones below (I have a bit of a thing for Christine Centenera's style if you can't tell).

A few weeks ago I went to Bisonte and tried on a fur which was rabbit, the coat was gorgeous and the sales lady was very convincing in her pitch about how rabbits are a pest and its good for the natural fauna to wear the fur, but in the end something just didn't feel right and I didn't buy it. Funny how we can find it perfectly acceptable to wear leather though?
Anyway it was like the Lisa Ho one below but this gorgeous light blue/grey colour...I still daydream of it.

I tried to do an outfit post this morning before work but my camera died, hopefully I 'm not a total lazy slob tonight and try again.

Hunting Leopards

I must have called about 12 Forever New stores trying to find this jacket but they were all sold out....the hunt continues for a (faux) alternative.

Should I or Shouldn't I?

I have been eyeing off these Jil Sander's (the closed toe ones) for a while and they are reduced at Dio Dato at the moment....so so tempting.

A Cold Sydney Sunday

A few friends and I went to some Irish pub in the city to hide from the cold and fill ourselves with beer for insulation against the cold today. Yay for good friends, good conversation and plenty of beer.

This morning I tried to take some outfit posts of me on the balcony, I am usually the person who hides from the camera so hopefully they don't look quite as awkward as I felt!

My boyfriend bought me the Nicholas Kirkwood shoes a while ago but I had lots of trouble styling them until I got my hands on this Portman's Suede Jacket which ties them into most outfits. The dress is Scanlan and Theodore and one of my favourites because it's so versatile.

The Debut!

I suppose it's appropriate to post some sort of introduction ...
I am 27, I work in Marketing in the beauty industry and I love all things creative. My family are mostly artists and even though I dabble in visual arts my real predilection lays with fashion.So while my days are made up of business and my nights have long been forsaken for studying my MBA I wanted to start this blog as an outlet for all my fickle artistic tendencies and hopefully meet like-minded people.
It will probably be an eclectic mix of fashion, food, books, photos, music art and anything else that catches my eye and any comments and feedback are more than welcome!
